Hey Amigo, it’s been two years since I’ve been preparing this awesome BBQ set for your picnics. You see, I had to find the super ketchup you see there, with chili of course but as natural as possible and especially without glucose. Man, do you realize what a crazy job it was? And in my research, do you know what I found? So, pay attention, to the little story of the word ketchup or Catsup, which comes from the derivative Ke-tsiap, a Chinese word, then transformed into kechap and ketjap in Indonesia. Finally into Castup. In the 1800s, in Europe it was most common to say Ketchup and in the USA Catsup. Then it’s all about a big company that wanted to do the opposite of its competitors and the word Ketchup remained. I confess, I have a weakness for Castup! And of course it has habanero.
The Alchemist’s power lies in a badass little concoction: a good traditional mayonnaise mixed with Carolina Reaper chilli. It’s sure to soften anyone’s heart… or not! Ideal for those future Christmas meals with a good Burgundy or Bresse Fondue.
Then the famous, incredible, terrible Jolokia Mustard, my friend, you’re not ready for this. Do you see your grill starting to heat up? Think that this mustard will do the same to you. But I won’t say more, discover it and feel its warmth like the scorching summer we’re going to have.
Ciao
